The Eastern Lancaster County School District is committed to effectively communicating with the learners, parents and guardians, staff, and community it serves. We understand that this means not only sharing information from the district, but also creating clear and efficient ways to gather information and respond to questions or concerns.
To meet this need, the communication process for ELANCO was developed. Communicating with the person who is closest to a question or concern will resolve most issues. The ELANCO School District website provides parents and the community access to District and school calendars, news, events, lunch menus, assessment and academic information, support resources, staff contact information, School Board information, and more!

The ELANCO Extra is the District’s annual report that is published and distributed to the Eastern Lancaster County School District community, families, and staff. This annual publication provides an overview of District and individual school building information. It includes topics such as: District Highlights, Activities, District Direction and Happenings, School Spotlights, Annual Notices and Notifications, Business Office Financials, Employment Opportunities, and ways to get involved!

Faculty and staff of the Eastern Lancaster County School District are provided an email address @elanco.org that they are able to use to communicate with parents, learners, colleagues, and external community contacts.
Staff members’ email format is: firstname_lastname@elanco.org (e.g., john_doe@elanco.org)

ParentSquare is a communication tool that makes it easy to stay involved with your child’s learning! ParentSquare allows two-way communication with parents, guardians, staff, students, and coaches! The District will use this platform to send important messages that come from the Superintendent's Office and School Administration regarding weather emergencies, school closings, urgent notifications, or announcements. Teachers may also use this method to contact parents and guardians.

PowerSchool is the Student Information System used by the ELANCO School District. PowerSchool Parent Portal is an online portal that parents and guardians can access to see all their children in one place.
The portal is a place where important back-to-school forms and emergency contact information are collected and updated for the safety of each learner. Parents with secondary learners (Grades 6-12) also have access to assignments, grades, and reports. For more information, visit the PowerSchool Parent Portal area of our website.
Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to complete the Annual Student Update in their PowerSchool Parent Portal each school year.
