Are you interested in being a school bus driver? Eastern Lancaster County School District contracts with Brightbill Transportation, Inc. for its transportation needs and currently is in need of bus drivers.
If you :
- have good driving skills with an excellent driving record and are in good physical health
- are concerned about the safety of school children
- are a people person who enjoys children
- are accommodating to work with parents and school administrators
- are a team player
- are available to attend regular training classes
- are sensitive to the special needs of all children
then consider applying to be a bus driver for the District and submit an application through Brightbill Transportation.

Department of Education - PA School Bus Driver Interest Form
This school year, a nationwide school bus driver shortage has negatively impacted the beginning of the school year for many school districts in Pennsylvania. As a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) holder, you may be qualified to serve your community as a school bus driver this school year. If you are seeking work, or are interested in supplemental employment, please know that many school entities are offering signing bonuses, retention bonuses, and other incentives to attract drivers.

STS is looking for caring individuals who have experience in a school setting, are willing to learn, are patient, and possess a positive attitude. Eligible candidates must have the necessary documentation/clearances to work in a school district.

Teacher Substitutes
Eastern Lancaster County School District is currently looking for substitutes to fill daily and short-term substitute positions. The Substitute Teacher Service, STS, announced the implementation of the STS/IU-13 Guest Teacher Program. This program allows those who have a 4-year degree to take an online training program that would prepare them for teaching in the classroom as a day-to-day substitute teachers.
